Hospitality – Romans 12:13
“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)
Short story:
When we were in the Dumagat village, the path to our residence was a difficult walk, needing to cross a river and to climb a mountain trail. It was not an easy experience for a person like me, coming from the city. During the walk, the indigenous people held my hand and accompanied me all the way to our residents. Not only did I felt their care and hospitality, I felt a deep level of love from the Holy Spirit acting and moving in this moment. There was no need for pretty words or liturgy at that moment, for the true worship was already happening while we supported and cared for each other. The Holy Spirit moved and united us, allowing us to become one body in Christ.
