Touch the Sky
We look at the stars and we know about a perfect creator
and a presence that is eternal, unattainable, nostalgic, but also close.
We close our eyes, tired of so much darkness and we open them again, with renewed hope; we sigh and see something new, a pristine brightness, a lush glow.
Because although the stars are millions of miles away, their light becomes tangible, as if we could touch the sky with our hands and take a star for our beloved.
So close, tender, real and welcoming is the experience of God Emmanuel born as a dazzling star in our midst.
